Fusing Fiesta!

Join John and Stephanie for a brand new two-day class!! On Friday, September 13th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Stephanie will teach you how to prepare your fused glass blanks using sheet glass, dots, stringers, and frit. The blanks will be put into the kiln and fused in preparation for the next step. Each student will create 2-3 fused pieces. On Sunday, September 15th from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m., you will return to the studio and John will work with you to heat up your fused pieces and will teach you how to blow glass form the piece into whatever shape you want - a drinking glass, bud vase, small bowl, etc. Our goal is that each student will complete 2 pieces. The class is limited to 4 people and prior hot shop experience is preferred but not required. Bring your friends and have a really fun time creating beautiful and unique memories together. About the instructor: Stephanie Baness is an established glass artist with a studio in Corrales, NM. Her Moxie Sorbet Designs specializes in fused glass furnishings, jewelry, and tabletop accessories for the home. Her creations combine beauty with function, using jewel tones and unusual shapes.
